We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team at Talbooth Restaurant. In this role you will have the chance to progress while working with a great and established team. You will responsible for the preparation and cooking of food in an environment which is driven by the desire to maintain and, wherever possible, improve our standards.
What we ask from you :
· You will enjoy food and have the desire to grow as a Chef.
· You will be as hardworking and energetic as your team members, although this can be demanding it is often fun.
· You will be available to work evenings and weekends.
This will be a 5 day a week salaried position and the remuneration will depend on your age, starting at £25,000.00. As a Chef de Partie you will need at least one year experience in a similar role.

Hotel Receptionist

Firstly.... the salary range shown is age related and for a 5 day work week, however we can be fairly flexible with this position. It could be offered to one person for five days or 2 candidates working a combined 3 and 2 day week. So if you are after a two or three day week please read on....

Talbooth House & Spa is a luxury hotel in the Dedham Vale, it has 12 individually designed bedrooms and a destination Spa, which offers 6 treatment rooms, a outdoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub. The reception team run the hotel and help the spa when necessary, so duties range from taking room bookings, preparing continental breakfast to ensuring our guests, both hotel and spa, are well looked after and leave us wanting to return as soon as possible!

You will be expected to work weekends as well as week days and when the hotel has been taken over for a private party you would be on bar duty as well as helping to serve a three course meal for up to 30 guests which would have been prepared by our Milsom Catering Chefs.

Experience in hotels or with dealing with customers would be beneficial but not necessary, the most important thing is that you enjoy looking after people and can work well within a team. The core Talbooth Hotel & Spa team have been with us for a number of years so they are very good at ensuring any new team members are well looked after and helped as much as possible to fit in and settle down.

Accounts Administrator at Milsom Hotels, Dedham

Accounts Administrator / Cashier

£25,000 - £30,000 pa

Milsom Hotels Limited is a restaurant and hotel chain that includes the fine dining Talbooth restaurant, Talbooth House & Spa, the brasserie/hotel Milsoms and The Pier at Harwich restaurant/hotel.

We are looking for a responsible person, preferably AAT qualified, to work in the head office finance team. Your role will be varied and include:

  • Maintaining daily sales reporting;
  • Management of cash receipts and banking (collection);
  • Purchase invoice input & control;
  • Sales ledger input & Credit Control;
  • Support with department’s other tasks (payroll etc);
  • References will be required.

Ideal candidate will be flexible with good all round accounts experience & system, both accounting and excel, knowledge.  Experience in a cash-based business preferred but not essential.
